IMPLEMENTATION OF MAINTENANCE WORKS : MBIP'S EFFORTS TO STRENGTHEN THE URBAN DRAINAGE SYSTEM
The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) is actively carrying out maintenance works on the city's drainage system, including excavation and dredging of the base in the Kangkar Pulai, Taman Pulai Indah and surrounding areas.
Strategic cooperation is also established with developers and the private sector to ensure the implementation and maintenance of the Erosion and Sediment Control Plan (ESCP) is done well, in line with the needs of sustainable development.
This initiative is important to ensure that the drainage system works efficiently in the face of climate change challenges as well as the phenomenon of unexpected heavy rains (MTL). This effort is expected to reduce the risk of flooding and its impact on the local community.
