VISIT WITH STAKEHOLDERS TO THE FLOOD HOTSPOT IN ISKANDAR PUTERI

A visit and engagement session was held at the Sunway Medini Roundabout flood hotspot area, Iskandar Puteri involving the Honorable Dato’ Haji Mohd Haffiz bin Haji Ahmad, MBIP Mayor, representatives of the MBIP Department, technical agencies, the Perling Assemblyman's Office, and the Developer, Iskandar Investment Berhad (IIB).
Several short-term measures have been agreed to overcome the flooding problem in this area, including:
- Cleaning of ‘monsoon drain’ by the developer.
- Minor repair work ‘roadside drain’ and ‘scupper drain’, including tree felling.
This repair work will be immediately carried out by the MBIP maintenance contractor. This effort is expected to reduce the risk and impact of floods, while ensuring the well-being of the local community.
MBIP is committed to ensuring that the Iskandar Puteri area continues to progress and is flood-free!
