SUNGAI MELANA FLOOD MITIGATION PROJECT AND DRAINAGE UPGRADE AT JALAN TENANG 2, TAMAN DAMAI JAYA : A LONG-TERM APPROACH TO REDUCING THE RISK OF FLOODING

A field trip session to the project site by the Honorable Dato’ Haji Mohd Haffiz bin Haji Ahmad, Mayor of MBIP together with Mr. Tambi Omar bin Latip, Councilor of Zon Selesa Jaya, representatives of the MBIP department and representatives of technical agencies, consultants and contractors to review the performance and progress work done at Jalan Tenang 2, Taman Damai Jaya, Skudai Johor.
This visit is also held to monitor the latest developments and problems at the visit site as well as finalize the actions that need to be taken so that the project can run smoothly and be submitted according to schedule.
MBIP is also very committed in efforts to improve the quality of drainage infrastructure, especially flood mitigation projects in old and fragile residential areas in the face of the challenges of climate change and the Northeast Monsoon (MTL).
