The Signing Ceremony of the Clean City Smart Cooperation Agreement between the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) and Perbadanan Pengurusan Sisa Pepejal dan Pembersihan Awam - SWCorp was held with the aim of establishing cooperation in dealing with the management of environmental cleanliness and solid waste which is a critical issue faced in the State of Johor.

“Johor Clean City Strategy 2025-2030” provides comprehensive guidance to all parties involved including the community in an effort to achieve a clean and sustainable city in Johor. With the right strategy and cooperation from all parties, the State of Johor can be an example for other states in ensuring that cities are clean, green and sustainable.

This agreement was signed by the Honorable Dato’ Haji Mohd Haffiz bin Haji Ahmad, Mayor of MBIP and Tuan Zainal Fitri bin Haji Ahmad, Director of SWCorp Johor State which was also witnessed by YM Ungku Suzana binti Ungku Mohammad, Secretary of MBIP together with Tuan Mohd Hisyamuddin bin Turkijan, Senior Assistant Director of Johor State SWCorp Enforcement.

MBIP hopes that with this collaboration, these two parties will continue to commit to achieving goals that bring great benefits, not only in terms of the environment, but also in improving the quality of life of the people of Johor from all aspects of cleanliness, beauty and sustainability and further hold the status of Maju Johor by the year 2030.
