The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) has carried out promotional activities as well as inspection and enforcement actions at the Ramadan Bazaar Jalan Kemuliaan 2, Taman Universiti.
A total of 10 officers were involved in the inspection of 190 business sites involving 205 food operators, where all operators had obtained typhoid injections as required. The inspection also found that no foreign workers were found. A total of 300 'pamphlets' and 'flyers' have also been distributed to traders and visitors to raise awareness about food hygiene and safety.
In addition, MBIP also monitors compliance with stall cleanliness, orderly garbage disposal, the implementation of site cleaning works after the end of daily sales as well as the implementation of environmentally friendly initiatives. Although no polystyrene confiscation was carried out, MBIP continues to encourage the use of more environmentally friendly food packaging materials to maintain environmental sustainability.
MBIP is committed to ensuring the cleanliness, safety and smooth operation of the bazaar throughout Ramadan for the comfort and well-being of all.
