Storms and strong winds have hit several areas around Skudai. This incident has caused a total of 47 trees to fall in Taman Universiti and Taman Pulai Utama.
The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) together with the Fire and Rescue Department and the Malaysian Civil Defense Force (APM) have taken swift action at the scene to ensure the safety and smoothness of traffic in the affected areas.
The blocked traffic route has been successfully reopened, while tree cutting and cleaning works are still underway. Reinstallation of fallen signs will also be done immediately.
At the same time, the MBIP Elite Squad is still continuing patrols to identify additional affected locations. In addition, the authorities are managing the police report for the victims involved.
The public is advised to be vigilant especially when in areas where there is a potential for fallen trees to occur.
