On 26 April 2025, the Landscape Department received four (4) complaints regarding fallen trees from members of the public and the Malaysian Civil Defense Force (APM) in several locations within the administrative area of the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP).
Following the complaint received, the cleaning work was carried out immediately by the Cantas Cutting Unit (UTC) and the Contractor appointed by MBIP.
Preliminary investigation found that the main factor in the incident was due to unpredictable weather conditions, involving strong wind resistance and heavy rain. The department is always committed to carrying out regular monitoring and maintenance work to reduce the risk of fallen trees in the future.
The public is advised to always be vigilant and take precautions in all situations, whether at home or when outside. Any incident can be reported to the authorities for immediate action.
