In conjunction with the celebration of World Mangrove Day, the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) has organized the Iskandar Puteri Blue Carbon program: Preserving the Mangrove Swamp and Seaweed Ecosystem which started with the Mangrove Rescue activity on 30 June 2025 which involved the rescue of mangrove saplings to be sown and replanted, with the participation of the community and volunteers.
This initiative is part of Iskandar Puteri Low Carbon (IPRK)'s ongoing efforts to protect the blue carbon ecosystem and coastal areas of Iskandar Puteri. In addition to preventing coastal erosion, mangroves are also an important habitat for the sustainability of marine life. MBIP remains committed to empowering environmental conservation for the sake of future generations.
