The Iskandar Puteri City Council has received an official visit from the Integrity Institute of Malaysia (IIM) for the briefing of the Community Integrity Building“(CIB) Community Integrity Development Program. The briefing was delivered by Puan Zarina binti Mohamad Amin, Director of the Community Integrity Development Center, IIM. Also present were Mr. Izal Arif bin Zahrudin, Chief Operating Sector Officer of IIM and Mr. Noranizam bin Nordin, Deputy Director of the Community Integrity Development Center, IIM.
This briefing aims to explain the objectives, structure and implementation approach of the CIB Program which emphasizes the collaborative culture of integrity between the community and local authorities. This approach is seen to be able to empower the role of the community as well as improve the effectiveness of public service delivery through more active community involvement and transparent monitoring. This program is expected to be a model of best practice in cultivating integrity at the PBT level, especially in the Iskandar Puteri City Council.
