The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) through the Cantas Cutting Unit (UTC) together with the contractor is currently carrying out landscape maintenance works involving the felling and pruning of risky trees in several key locations:
Locations involved:
1.Skudai–Pontian Road
2. Jalan Jasa, Taman Mutiara Rini
3. Pulai Utama Park
4. Bukit Indah Park
5. Pedestrian Path, SK Taman Perling
Works along Jalan Skudai–Pontian are underway and are expected to be fully completed by the end of July 2025. This action is taken to ensure the safety of road users and the public, especially involving trees that are at risk of falling or being damaged.
In addition, maintenance is also focused on playground and housing areas as a proactive measure to ensure that trees are always in a healthy, stable and safe condition. The MBIP Landscape Department is committed to maintaining a balance between urban green sustainability and public safety, through regular monitoring and risk assessment of the health of trees in the MBIP administrative area.
