The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) expresses its deepest appreciation to the Johor State Government, especially Invest Johor, for the opportunity given to share in the Pocket Talk session at Pavilion Malaysia in conjunction with World Expo 2025 Osaka.
In the partnership, Encik Safwan bin Shaari, Head of the Sustainability and Urban Wellbeing Unit, MBIP Development Planning Department, presented a topic titled:“Iskandar Puteri: Green Catalyst for Sustainable Development in JS-SEZ.”
This session was attended by participants from Japan consisting of private companies and non-profit organizations (NPOs/NGOs), in addition to Malaysian and Johor delegations. This diverse presence has opened up a space for meaningful discussion as well as potential for strategic cooperation, particularly in strengthening Iskandar Puteri's role as a catalyst for sustainable development under the framework of the Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ).
MBIP will continue to commit to playing an active role in building smart, affordable and prosperous cities, for the well-being of the community and increasing the attractiveness of international investment.
