18 September 2025 I Hang Lekir Street Night Market Site, Taman Skudai Baru

The Licensing Department in collaboration with the MBIP Enforcement Department has conducted a license review and dealer census operation at the night market site in Jalan Hang Lekir, Taman Skudai Baru. The main focus of the operation is the inspection of hawker licenses and the census of traders, preventive measures against foreign traders as well as enforcement of misconduct in licensing conditions.
2 traders were subject to confiscation action for trading without a valid license while 3 compound notices were issued for various licensing offences. This operation was also attended by Mr. Lim Soon Hai, Skudai Baru Council Member to support monitoring and enforcement efforts at the night market site. This operation is carried out to ensure compliance with the law, create an orderly business environment and safeguard the interests of licensed traders and the local community
