The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) held an Engagement Session on the Study of the Direction of Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG City Roadmap) to coordinate and strengthen the implementation of the sustainable development agenda in the Iskandar Puteri area.
1. Mbip's Current Sustainability Status Introduction Session was delivered by Mr. Safwan bin Shaari, Town and Country Planning Officer, who gave an overview of the current position and initial achievements of the MBIP SDGs.
2. The Malaysia SDG Cities briefing & MBIP SDG presentation was delivered by Dr. Azmizam bin Abdul Rashid, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of URBANICE Malaysia, includes the strategic direction, implementation framework and technical support of the SDGs at the local level. Also shared Mr. Muhammad Syafiq bin Subri, Senior Executive Lead SDG City, URBANICE Malaysia, who provided document identification and research process for the preparation of SDG City Roadmap MBIP.
Through this engagement session, MBIP is committed to strengthening cooperation between agencies, communities and stakeholders in ensuring comprehensive, inclusive and resilient sustainable development progress.
