MBIP IS COMMITTED TO DEALING WITH FLOOD HOTSPOTS FOR THE SAFETY OF THE PEOPLE OF JOHOR - UPGRADING TAMAN DAMAI JAYA'S MAIN DITCH
December 4, 2025 | Iskandar Puteri

The Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP) is committed to implementing comprehensive measures to deal with flood hotspots in the MBIP area. Under the leadership of YB Dato’ Mohd Jafni Mohd Shukor, coordination efforts between PBT, technical agencies and field teams are strengthened to ensure faster, organized actions and have a direct impact on people's safety.

As emphasized by YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor, every PBT must act proactively, efficiently and thoroughly in solving the flood issue. He emphasized that the safety and well-being of the people is the State Government's priority, and every critical area should be given immediate action without waiting for complaints or technical delays.

In accordance with the instructions, drain cleaning works, ditch sedimentation, drainage system repairs, mobile pump installation and drainage improvements are being implemented according to the priorities of each area. Periodic patrols are also mobilized to ensure that water flow is managed and the risk of overflow can be reduced, especially during heavy rains.

God willing, with clear leadership, comprehensive technical actions and close cooperation with the community, efforts to deal with flood hotspots will continue to be strengthened. Our goal is to ensure safer areas, reduce the risk of disasters and provide a more secure living environment for all the people of Johor.
