Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh dan Salam Sejahtera,

Alhamdulillah, let us together express our gratitude to Allah SWT because with His abundant grace, we can continue the trust and responsibility in developing the Iskandar Puteri City Council (MBIP).

I am pleased to accept the responsibility as Mayor of MBIP, effective on 3 January 2025 and officially starting on 14 January 2025. This trust is a great deal, and I am determined to drive MBIP towards excellence with the cooperation of all parties.

MBIP 2025 FOCUS AND INITIATIVE ON IMPROVING SERVICE QUALITY

MBIP is committed to improving the service delivery system to be more efficient, transparent, and meet the needs of city residents. Among the efforts that have been implemented is the Free Buggy Shuttle service at Temenggong Ibrahim Building, MBIP Medini to make it easier for the public to deal at the service counter.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND JOHOR-SINGAPORE SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE (JS-SEZ)

The implementation of JS-SEZ will have a major impact on Johor's economy and MBIP will play an active role in ensuring that the city continues to be an attractive investment destination.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND WELFARE

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

MBIP continues to encourage green initiatives through programs such as Green Waste Management Workshops and environmental conservation activities involving the community, including school students.

MBIP's commitment to the well-being of the community continues with various programs such as the Townhall Program with the Residents of Gelang Patah, the Khatan Perdana Program organized by Yayasan Penyayang Iskandar Puteri, as well as information sessions on property tax management and local development.

STRENGTHENING INTEGRITY AND GOVERNANCE

MBIP emphasizes leadership with integrity by organizing the Governance, Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strengthening Module Course (MPGIA) to ensure that every MBIP employee carries out their responsibilities with trust and transparency.

PREPARATION FOR THE YEAR OF VISITING JOHOR 2026

As one of the main tourism destinations in Johor, MBIP will continue to empower tourism products such as eco-tourism Kg. Sg. Malay, Iskandar Puteri Islamic Aura Gallery, LEGOLAND Theme Park, and many more in an effort to attract tourists to this city.

TAKING STEPS TOWARDS A MORE BRILLIANT MBIP

MBIP is also proud of the achievements and successes that have been achieved over the past year, including the organization of the Racing Electric Powered Johor Bahru Championship, success in the Local Authority Star Rating System (SPB PBT) as well as various awards at the national and international level.

As a team, I call on all MBIP employees and strategic partners to continue together in strengthening competitive, sustainable, and prosperous city administration. As the Prophet SAW said:
